Los Altos United Church of Christ

Our Mission

We are called to be the Church, a channel of God's extravagant love for all of creation.

Our purpose is to nurture one another, our community and our world into wholeness, and to act with justice, serve others and walk humbly with God.

Our Mission in Action

We take our mission seriously. In Fall 2017, we initiated three new areas of ministry focus to which we believe God has called us:

  • Ministry with and for homeless students at CSULB
  • Ministry with and for family members of veterans who are staying at the Long Beach Veteran Administration's Fisher House
  • Explore becoming a "Creation Justice" Church

As we live into these new areas of ministry, we remain committed to our ongoing ministries:

  • Excellent worship experiences
  • Lifelong Christian education and faith formation
  • Programs for children and youth, including Wacky Wednesday, Sunday School, special programs for youth, and Vacation Bible School
